Ukraine fired 15 cruise missiles on Saturday at a Russian shipyard in Kerch, Crimea, damaging one vessel, according to the Russian defense ministry.
Thirteen missiles were shot down, and one hit a ship, the Russian defense ministry said. No ship name was given.
There was no video or social media posts showing missile activity or a fire or smoke appearing to be coming from a shipyard.
Russian-appointed Crimean leader Sergei Aksyonov said there were no casualties in Saturday’s attack on the Kerch shipyard.
The attack damaged Russian corvette Askold, according to Ukrainian war monitoring Telegram channels.
The Russian defense ministry reported in September that the Black Sea Fleet’s Askold ship was destroying Ukrainian targets off Crimea.
Askold, armed with Kalibr missile systems, entered the service in the second half of 2023.
