Ukraine Expects Allied Backing To Remain

The foreign minister of Ukraine stated on Tuesday that Kyiv did not anticipate a reduction in wartime assistance from its allies and that weapon deliveries had not slowed.

As the passage of major assistance packages from the European Union and the United States approaches, the remarks at a news conference in Kyiv coincide with a deteriorating outlook for Ukraine, where uncertainty surrounds.

“Therefore, I do not anticipate any slowdown or any decrease, neither in attention nor support, that is coming,” said Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

He told reporters that Ukraine will not allow itself to be forced into negotiating with Russia. “No one will ever put us at the table with Russia until we ourselves decide that this is the way forward.”

Since Moscow’s full-scale invasion began in February 2022, Ukraine has been significantly dependent on Western military and economic assistance to repel and withstand Russian forces.
