NATO Says Black Sea Shipping is At Risk

NATO SHIPPING CENTER (NSC) warns of the continued risk of drifting mines in the western Black Sea and that ship captains should do everything possible to avoid objects they see on the sea surface. They should also take all precautions, not to have personnel on the bow of the ships, and keep an effective constant lookout. Due to the risk of mines in shipping lanes from Ukraine, daytime pickets are required to improve the quality of the lookout.
