Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg emphasized the importance of Sweden and Finland joining NATO at the Folk och Försvar Security Conference in Sweden.
Mr. Stoltenberg has called for more aid to be given to Ukraine and warned that underestimating Russia could have “major consequences for security in the Nordic region.” He went on to say that he is certain that the Alliance will soon be able to “warmly welcome” Sweden and Finland.
