The Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, signed security agreements with the European Union and two of its member countries, Lithuania and Estonia, at a summit in Brussels on Thursday.
Leaked sources outline the EU’s commitment to assist Ukraine in nine security and defense policy areas, such as demining, military training, arms deliveries, and defense industry cooperation.
The pact, along with the documents signed with Lithuania and Estonia, aims to supplement other similar agreements that Ukraine and its allies have established as it continues to defend itself against Russia’s invasion.
Kyiv has struck agreements with countries such as the United States, Britain, France, and Germany.
