Ukraine’s Navy Destroyed Russian Ferry in Attack

Ukraine’s naval forces verified on Friday that they had neutralized a fuel and weapon delivery ferry in the Russian port of Kavkaz.

As confirmed by Fyodor Babenkov, district head of Temryuk, which includes the port, the attack caused a fire and damaged the ferry with 30 fuel tanks on it.

“Another military objective has been undoubtedly destroyed. Its goal was to provide the invaders with fuel.” A Navy spokesman, Dmytro Pletenchuk, informed Ukrainian television that the ferry sank, rendering the port of Kavkaz unusable until its removal.

Kavkaz’s port is one of Russia’s largest Black Sea outlets. It manages vessels that are used for both exports and fuel supplies to Crimea, which was captured by Russian forces in 2014.
