Zelenskiy: U.S. Military Aid Remains, But No New Agreements Yet

President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Wednesday that U.S. military aid to Ukraine remains at current levels, but no discussions regarding future packages are underway.

“There’s no reduction in U.S. support today.” He informed reporters in Kyiv that it is not halted; rather, it is in progress, following a meeting with British foreign minister David Lammy.

Almost three years ago, the Russian full-scale invasion started, and Washington has been one of the largest suppliers of military aid to Kyiv.

However, re-elected President Donald Trump has frequently criticized the extent of U.S. assistance to Kyiv. Recently, the US temporarily suspended the shipment of weapons to Ukraine. But they resumed over the last weekend.

According to Zelenskiy, it is inappropriate to engage in discussions regarding new military assistance batches.

When asked about Ukraine’s capacity to fight without American assistance, Zelenskiy stated that the country’s defense capabilities would be significantly impacted by a reduction in supplies.
