The Ambassador at large for the Russian foreign ministry, Oleg Ozerov, told the state RIA news agency on Tuesday that Moscow’s grain and fertilizers exports will be discussed at this week’s Russia-Africa summit.

Russia pulled out of the Black Sea grain deal last week that had guaranteed the safe export of grains through the Black Sea.

St. Petersburg will host the second Russia-Africa summit on July 27-29.

Ozerov told RIA that the establishment of “logistics corridors and hubs not only for food and fertilizers but for any other products that the Russian Federation produces” will be discussed.

“The concept of logistics corridors and the establishment of grain hubs seems to me to be a promising and realizable idea.”

Despite the ongoing conflict, the U.N.-brokered grain deal had enabled Ukraine to export grain from its Black Sea ports. Russia, according to President Vladimir Putin, can provide a commercially viable and cost-free alternative to Ukrainian grain.
