In their discussions with counterparts in Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt, and Jordan, U.S. State Secretary Antony Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin emphasized the importance of a coordinated diplomatic response, the necessity of preventing escalation, and the continued support for Israel’s defense by the United States.
