This research group focuses on non-kinetic forms of conflict that operate below the threshold of conventional war. Its core questions address how state and non-state actors shape perceptions, manipulate information environments, and exploit cognitive and digital vulnerabilities.

Scope and Analytical Focus

The group analyzes disinformation campaigns, influence operations, narrative warfare, cyber-enabled manipulation, and the use of AI in information operations. It also supports other research groups by mapping influence dynamics and narrative risk.
